Welcome to my "Collections" Page.

By now you have read a little bit about the "Real Lacey" so now you are here to find out some other good things about me, eh?  OK.. let's see..where DO I start?

OK.. Since this page is suppose to deal with my "Collections" I suppose that's a good place to start!

I am in the process of gathering pictures of some of my collections, so for now this page will consist of just words.. but later, when you come back, I will have the pictures up so y'all can see some of my prized collections.

My collections vary and are many!

TINS:

I collect Tins.. all kinds.. but especially different shaped ones. I have some that look like houses and I have them arranged so they look like a little village. I also have a few in my bathrooms to keep the wrapped soap in them and handy to use, instead of putting the soap in a cupboard outside of the bathroom. And since I also make my own soap, I take the scraps or little slivers of soap that's left and I put them into a tin as well.

I have a tin that looks like a shoe and one that looks like a school bus.

A friend of mine when to Denmark and brought me some tins from there. They are very different and they add to my collection for sure.

I was at a large flea market once and this young boy came up holding this awesome looking tin. I asked him what he had in it and he said he had baseball cards he had just purchased. I asked him if he was interested in selling that tin, and he just looked at me as though I was crazy. I offered him $5 for the tin and he nearly jumped sky high. He was ecstatic.. I suppose because he didn't even pay that much for his baseball cards PLUS the tin. So I took the cards and put them into another container for him and gave him the money and took my tin. We were both very happy.

At that same flea market, my daughter, then age 12, went all thru the market on her own and came back with two shopping bags full of different types of tins. She's such a great kid!

MONOPOLY GAMES:

This is my prize collection. My original idea was to have each of the game boards displayed in my "Bed & Breakfast" games room. Each board would be behind a glass display case hung on the wall throughout the room. There would be, of course, the original game available to play for the guests.

I collect "Monopoly" games from all over the world. So far I have about 22 of them. Plus I make my own "OPOLY" games and of course the original game.

Each game that I have is detailed with that particular area's history. For instance, "Boston" has the "North Church" and "Boston Common". The ones from other countries have their own historic landmarks incorporated into the game. I can't even tell you when or why I started collecting them, I don't even like to PLAY the game!  hehe

I found a few other items pertaining to "Monopoly" as well. I have a keychain that is actually a miniature game, a mousepad that looks like the board. My daughter bought me "Monopoly" wrapping paper for Christmas last year.

The list of the board games includes:

NORMAN ROCKWELL:

I just love Norman Rockwell. I have books and other paraphernalia of his. I have 3 dolls of his works.. The most prized one is the "Self Portrait". Absolutely stunning.

BASEBALL CARDS:

I collected baseball cards for a long time. I have over 5000 of them. Not all are categorized yet but when they get that way, I will begin to sell them off. I have a lot of rookie cards and first edition cards too.

M & Ms

I collect anything that has to do with "M&M"s. I have sweatshirts, tins, newspaper articles, pictures, wrappers.. hehe  Gawd.. I'm a "Junk-a-holic" but I love my M&Ms. I have some real nifty looking gadgets. I have one that's the BLUE M&M basketball hooper, an M&M spaceship candy dispenser. I even got some flowers in an M&M vase! NOW.. if they would only make an M&M MONOPOLY game!!!

MISCELLANEOUS COLLECTIONS:

I also have a small collection of "Shot Glasses" from different places.

Well.. I know I have some other collections, I'll have to go search them out and I'll tell you all about them soon.

Please do come back another day and see the pictures of some of my items. I'm pretty proud of them all and love to share with everyone.

Also, I'd love it if you would please sign my GUESTBOOK below and maybe tell me a little about your own collections. There may be a lot of us "Collectors" out there and we just need to gather together. Hmmm.. maybe this may be a new WebRing in the making! Tell me what you think!

Thanks for dropping by and please do come back again!
